Mini Beauty Haul

This weekend I thought I'd try some new products. Instead of spending my weekend in my room between books and work to do for school, I decided to go out for some fresh air  and cycle to the mall (I hope I'm not the only one whose skin has gone completely mental).

Soap & glory, hand food: I read many good reviewes on this product and I finally decided to give it a try, having finished my favourite winter handcreme, the Neutrogena - Norwegian formula hand cram. I love this hand cream (soap&glory strike again!), as my hands tend to get quite dry throughout the winter this is perfect!
It doesn't feel greasy and it sinks in well leaving your skin moisturized. As a bonus, the smell is delicious, I'll definitely be carrying this in my school bag.

Bumble and Bumble, surf foam wash:  When I tried this I was worried that crazy, tangled, dry hair after using it. The product smells nice, it leaves your hair more textured, especially if you blow dry it (it doesn't  normally happen to me.) but I'm still not sure whether it's a full thumbs up or not; it is a pricey and as I have lots (lots, and lots and lots!) of very fine hair I had some problems to untangle it,  I managed to do it quite easily with my lifesaver product. I would reccomend this product to those who have  thicker hair.

Benefit, that gal: I was actually going to buy the watt's up highlighter but when I this benefit primer I decided to go for this as I liked the packaging more (don't judge ahah). I don't like to wear foundation when I go out so I either go for a BB cream or a primer when my skin looks particularly nice that day.
Since I bought this I've been using this religiously, it brightens my skin up making me feel more awake than I am. Thumbs up for me for the gal primer!

Maybelline, baby lips: I needed a new lip balm and I thought I would give this a go, I have the one in shade pink punch; I personally love the cute packaging and it does hydrate my lips, it leaves this bright baby pink colour on my lips so I'm planning it to wear at school instead of a nude lipstick.

Have a lovely (lazy) Sunday!

New Year's Beauty Resolutions

As a new year just started, I was going through my makeup collection and realized that nothing changed from the last year, and all the projects that I had in mind to do with my makeup have never been done. So this year I decided to actually write down my resolutions and try to follow/complete them (fingers crossed!).

-use up some of the products
I keep buying new products and they end up piling up in my collection.
This year I am determined to finish a few products that are nearly empty.
-stop buying lipsticks
This is my small obsession, I love lipsticks and all its shades, I like to try new brands and colours out.
This is similar to the first point, but because I don't really wear lipstick, this year I want to stop buying them and keep using the ones I have.
-drink more water
This year, I especially want to concentrate on my skin which I haven't really been looking after very well. And to do that I will start by drinking more water.
-improve my skincare routine
I don't have a proper daily skincare routine,
I own some products but I just use them randomly whenever I feel the need to.
Because the time in the morning is too little, for this year I would be happy to have a proper night skincare routine for now.

I would love to know in the comments your resolutions for this 2014!
